Bridget Heriz
Bridget Heriz studied at Goldsmiths College, moving on to Ravensbourne College of Art and Design (1973 - 1977). Based in Norfolk, Bridget has exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Drawing underlines much of the artist’s work, and in 2007 Bridget was accepted for the prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize. Bridget’s sculpture and drawing are held in private and public collections, and the artist has gained an international reputation through highly acclaimed exhibitions outside Britain.
Bridget’s work obtains inspiration from many sources; she has a love of early Etruscan art but also enjoys observing people and draws on her experiences of life and situations she encounters. The supremely simple terracotta head ‘Lad (Head)’ was inspired by a parade of soldiers returning from duty in Iraq.’
Bridget will be exhibiting bronze and terracotta sculptures for internal and external spaces as well as drawings. Her sculptures will be priced from around £1000.
